She followed in the musical footsteps of her grandmother Marjorie Finlay, a professional opera singer. By age 10, Taylor sang at various local events, including fairs and contests.

To persuade her dream she and her family moved to Nashville, where she got the opportunity to sign a contract with “Big Machine Records” when she was only 14 years old.

The Story of Taylor’s Sucess

She released her debut self named album “Taylor Swift” on 2006, which fast enough won her popularity among the country music community, making her winning several awards like the Horizon Award.

Her success did not stop there, with her second album “Fearless” she became the youngest artist in winning Best Album of the Year at the Grammys.

Her third album “Speak Now” means a lot to her, because is her first album in which she wrote all the songs by herself.

Taylor’s success kept growing with “Red” where she included the phrase that gives title to this article : “Who is Taylor Swift?” and “1989” which was her jump from country to pop music and lead her to one of her most successful picks of her career owning her her second Album of the Year Grammy.

On 2017 after a made up scandal and leaving herself out of the public eye she made one of the biggest comebacks with “Reputation” an album where she talked about one of her most difficult time in life.

After “Reputation” she released “Lover” in 2019 and in 2020 in the middle of the pandemic she decided to launched not one but two sister albums “Folklore” and “Evermore” winning her third Album of the Year Grammy for the first one.

Behind the Re Recordings

In the middle of these years Taylor  was victim of her old record label when they decided to sell her music catalog without giving her royalties for it, so she decided to re record her first six albums to owned her work again, so since 2021 she has been releasing her versions of them.

The Eras Tour Birth

On 2022 in the middle of her re recordings she launched her 10th studio album “Midnights” which made her won her fourth Album of the Year Grammy making her the first and only artist to achieve this merit.

Among with “Midnights” Taylor decided to created “The Eras Tour” a 3.5 Hours Concert in which she plays song of all of her albums with a segment of the concert dedicated to each one, making it the first global tour of having 1 Billion Dollars on earnings, making Taylor a Billionaire herself and with one of the most successful imperial phases lived by a female artist.

Never stopping working she released her 11th Studio Album “The Tortured Poets Department” on April 2024, with it she broke her own record after spending more than two months on the number 1 Billboard 100.
